Memphis man charged in July [2012] drive-by shooting
A Memphis man has been charged with murder in a July drive-by shooting. Police reported that on July 11 [2012] at about 9:30 p.m., 22-year-old Roosevelt Henderson was in the front yard of a residence in the 2700 block of Marlene near Lamar Avenue at American Way. A witness told officers that a man fired 5-10 shots from a passenger side window of a nearby vehicle, striking Henderson in the face, according to a police affidavit. Henderson was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis in critical condition. He died four days later. The witness later identified the alleged gunman in a police photo lineup.
